My kids are badass at this #bedazzleween thing. Look what I just came out to. Kids have begun taking over!
Get new strands of orange lights for my door foliage decor thingy.
Gather coupons for more faux foamy pumpkins. (why are those things so hella expensive???)
Add blinginess to my one black foam pumpkin. (see pinterest board)
Figure out a new wreath project since mine is full on grandma-y.
Figure out how to get stupid iphone pics to post to tumblr.
take cute pics of all the other shit i need to strew about the house to make it “fally”.
Assess why I end so many words with “-y” that clearly are not supposed to.
just call me the adverb queen.
I feel like I’m on top of the world. I decorated an entire 6” pumpkin and somehow wrangled my way through my first session with Mod Podge. Picture tomorrow when it’s all dry and shit…
Tip: keep cleanup cheap and quick. Small cups at Smart & Final. $4 for 125 of them. (normally use these for kids lunches) I HATE rinsing, so disposable shiz is a must.
Grrr… I love Michael’s for things I know I need: poster board, scrapbook sales (even though I don’t scrap), and awesome Prismacolor pencils - but tonight? I’m kinda grumpy about my trip. Although, it’s only 1 block from my house, so it wasn’t like I had to pack a lunch to get there, so it’s not really a loss.
One of my biggest downfalls was that I knew I wanted to be crafty - but wasn’t quite sure how to pull it off. I made a huge mistake by going in without a Pinterest recipe. I just knew I wanted to make a pumpkin all sparkly and shit.
I did end up with two styrofoam pumpkins. They are pricier than real ones - but I don’t want to make something and then love it and have to part ways on November 1st. I have two ‘kins, some glitter glue, Mod Podge, lace and some badass rhinestones on my desk… I’ll make something shiny tomorrow - I’m tired and can’t muster any energy today.
Bedazzleween is well under way. I know this because I made an avatar today that confirms this. I typically wait until October 25th to throw out any decor whatsoever, so I think I’m well ahead of schedule.
Cheers! Shiny, sparkly pumpkins tomorrow.
